SECTION 11 WEEKLY AND SEASONAL AWARDS ​

Scorekeeping and Standings

Lone Star Legends Flag Football tracks scores for every game and maintains official league standings
throughout the season. Each game’s outcome will be recorded by the referee crew and submitted to
the league office for verification.

Standings will be determined by the following hierarchy:
1. Win–loss record
2. Head-to-head result
3. Total point differential
4. Coin flip (if still tied)

Weekly standings will be published on the league’s website or official communication channels once
all results for the week have been confirmed.

Play-by-Play Stat Recording

To elevate competition and engagement, every play will be recorded for statistical tracking. Each
referee crew will include a dedicated stat keeper, whose primary duty is to record the result of every
offensive and defensive play.

The stat keeper’s responsibilities include:

• Recording the down, yardage gained or lost, and player(s) involved on each snap.
• Logging touchdowns, interceptions, sacks, flag pulls, completions, and extra-point results.
• Submitting completed stat sheets to the league office immediately following each game.

Stat keepers will dedicate approximately 90+ percent of their role to stat collection and entry,
ensuring consistent and accurate data across all divisions.

The league will compile both team and individual player statistics throughout the season. These
statistics form the foundation for end-of-season awards and public leaderboards recognizing
excellence in areas such as passing, rushing, receiving, defensive play, and overall team
performance.

Awards and Recognition

At the conclusion of each season, Lone Star Legends Flag Football will recognize players and coaches for
both measurable achievements and intangible contributions to their teams.
Awards may include, but are not limited to:

Statistical Awards (based on compiled data)

• Offensive Player of the Season
• Defensive Player of the Season
• Top Quarterback
• Top Receiver
• Top Rusher
• Top Tackler

• Top Pass Rush
