Mission Statement
Lone Star Legends Flag Football exists to restore the spirit of true competition to youth sports while keeping the game safe, family-friendly, and fun.
Rooted in the values that make Texas great — hard work, resilience, community, and faith — our league welcomes athletes of every skill level with a commitment to balanced teams and fair play. We believe competition is a gift that builds character and that every child can learn leadership, resilience, and teamwork through the game of football.
We emphasize:
• Competition with integrity — play hard, play fair, respect the game.
• Player development — grow football IQ, discipline, and confidence.
• Resilience and responsibility — learn to overcome setbacks and stay accountable.
• Teamwork and sportsmanship — success is shared; respect is required.
• Family and community — strengthening local bonds every Saturday.
• Faith and gratitude — recognizing that all talent and opportunity come from God, and giving thanks for the chance to play.
Above all, our mission is to deliver a league where young athletes experience real football strategy, meaningful competition, and lifelong lessons about effort, character, and joy in the game — while honoring the values that define Texas and the Christian faith.
Letter from the Commissioner
Welcome to Lone Star Legends Flag Football, and thank you for being part of our community. As a father of three competitive boys, I’ve seen firsthand how much kids benefit from an environment that challenges them, motivates them, and teaches discipline and teamwork. This league was inspired by my sons and built on my belief that flag football can be more than just a casual pastime — it can be filled with passion, energy, excitement, and be a training ground for life! Our vision is simple: to combine the intensity of real football with the positive values of youth sports — competition balanced with respect, preparation balanced with fun, and winning balanced with personal growth.
Everything we achieve as a league, and everything I’ve been blessed to do in my own life, I credit to God’s grace and guidance. We are proud to be a Texas-born league — competitive, tough, passionate, yet friendly and welcoming — reflecting the same spirit that makes Texas special. To all parents, coaches, and players: thank you for helping build this league. Let’s compete hard, play fair, and make Lone Star Legends Flag Football a model of what youth sports can be.
